I think James Vince has sussed how to negate Yorkshire

Go in with three frontline bowlers, with six part-time options and bat deep, literally can't lose from there ;)

Nah seriously, great rearguard action from the other White Rose.

The ineffectiveness of the Yorkshire bowling in this game is very surprising and other teams will be bolstered by this. Hants are belying the received wisdom that they are favourite relegation candidates.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

I have a feeling on pitches where two number 8's get 100's, it might be a bit dead?

If Vince continues to score runs in the next few games, he will be gone for the year..... got a few injuries in the bowling attack. I cant see Hampshire staying up tbh. Got outplayed first game and saved by the weather (was it 4 wickets left with a lead of 20 = loss).

Not sure where the link between Sussex being relegated and any of the two comments you have raised this point on, are. Probably a mistaken belief that it was motivated by some anti-Hampshire bias? The first remark was actually supportive because Bairstow will go to England in the coming weeks, and Hampshire will have had the misfortune of playing him, while the next team Yorkshire face will get some 19 year old untested kid, or inadequate squad player. Probably also the luxury of not facing 3 or 4 other Yorkshire players too. If I wanted to wind up Hampshire fans, Id ask them to name which year they won the County Championship? Much easier.

It's all pretty weird at Headingley. 36/3 off 16 overs and Vince bowling first change.

Took you 164 years to do so.

Wouldn't want to compare grounds?

4 down now, but 188 ahead. Not enough time for a result? Unless Yorkshire get bowled out for under a 100

Not much of a comparison to be honest, but happy to go through it.

Sussex have a lovely ground steeped in centuries of history. Hampshire dont have one.

Hampshire did have one, but it turns out they spent all their money building it, and then to avoid bankruptcy they sold it to the local council at a huge loss, and now spend extra money to rent it.

I am sure in time we will see the genius of this financial masterplan.

Yes Hove is a lovely ground with beautiful views of blocks of flats!

Seating capacity, facilities, international matches, forward thinking, taking cricket into the 21st century. History is all well and good but you have to make a bit of an effort. Still got park benches round the ground in Hove.

Even I've played cricket in better grounds than Hove!

And by this, you mean building arguably the biggest "White Elephant" project in English cricket history at huge expense, and then begging the local council to pay for it when it turns out you spent every penny you had on it and couldnt stay afloat!!! Not sure that relying on taxpayers money to bail you out of complete non-existence is "taking cricket into the 21st century" in the county of Hampshire.

Good case for state intervention into sport there. Getting the benefit of a stadium you couldnt afford by making your council pay for it.

Unfortunately Sussex will have to continue at Hove, because the local council in Brighton spent 20 years fighting against the football team actually building their own stadium with their own money..... let alone having the council buy one for them.
