350+ and we were struggling

hopefully we can get at least one before the close

yeah pretty even day.
England are slight favourites at this stage by the smallest margins, essentially SA need to score another 20-30 runs and the odds will flip.
SA 2.62, Eng 2.50 Draw 3.50
No real changes from the pre game odds barring draw rising from 3.00 to 3.50, those points have lowered England odds but the SA odds have stayed the same.

looking at the odds the bookies reckon 300 is a par total.

Also SA run lines are 313.5.
Bit surprised by that surely Eng could take 3 quick wickets and get SA all out below 313.5

The overs not completed again.

Tense and tight day, very watchable.

Pretty disappointing for England not to wrap that up with the new ball. With the ball swinging and seaming and bouncing a lot.

Hate days like this when you literally have no idea what going to happen in the game.
I normally bet 10 pounds after every day on a result, no idea whether England or SA will win the game.

Start with Anderson and Finn.

England should back themselves against this attack to score a decent total, regardless of pitch conditions. Morke is the only guy there is proven test credentials.

During the first test I praised Johnny Bairstow in all facets apart from his wicket keeping....he's now completed the set. Jos going to find it very hard to get back in.

Scores his first century after 38 innings and goes 89 overs without dropping a simple catch or missing a stumping, and thats it? Case closed? :hmmm

It's more the style of how he played ....wrote about it in more depth on my blog but in test one he powered in and played ODI stuff, test two was calm and measured and played like a test player, test three playing like a wickie

Broad and the fielding a bit ragged this morning.

Anderson on the money.

Second wicket for Broad. I think Finn would have been a better choice this morning though.
