FAF's career seems to be following Duminy's...a good start, followed by a series of disappointing scores.

Broad looks like maybe he shouldn't be playing.

Probably wouldn't have been fun facing Steyn and Philander on day one.

haven't see much of the game, how is he struggling.
Down on pace?, niggle or just looking easy to face.

Broad is one player that I find that need to miss 1 or 2 test so he get back to his best, he isn't the same bowler when at 60-70% match fit.

Last time he was like this was probably 2012 where he was so crap in england and then in india where he finally got dropped and was again back to his best.

He looks ill, like he's going to be sick. His bowling has been a bit floaty.

He's had the same problems as Hales and Compo.

I'd guess Finn and Anderson get the new ball, or they hold back until tomorrow.

Nice drive from Vilas.

Run out!

Disaster.

ah ok probably got the bug could have played woakes, but that easier when you not captaining the side or selector, most of the time the best players play at all times probably hoping he get back to his best in few days time.

Bav run out.

Not going to sit on the new ball with six down. Give it to Finn.

that actually a smart way to finish the run out, catch the ball and dive to the stumps.

wonder what the par score is for this game, in the morning cricviz predicted an 280+280 game pretty much in all innings with england winning with 1 wicket to spare.
very sceptical of that at the time but looks like it will be a low scoring game.

just now their are predicting SA all out for 257, England all out for 288, SA all out for 287 and England to chase it with 2 wickets to spare.

I'd guess SA would have been happy with 300. I'm not sure either side has played that well today though, so a good performance from either side tomorrow might take control of the game. England have been scattergun, and SA have donated a few wickets.

Useful runs here.

Just need 10 and 11 to get double figures and we'll be in scorecard symmetrical heaven.
