Some chuckers have still bowled once they've been reported though. It's legal so they might as well have done it instead of giving an over to a person who's never bowled in internationals before.

Fair enough. But when they do, it usually provokes some annoyance. I remember KW and Senanayake winding a few people up.

Despite a slightly abiger average performance yesterday I think Malinga is in the decendency.

He has become more of a liability than an asset and for a team like Sri Lanka you'd rather have someone that regularly gives you average results rather than someone who can sometimes win you a match but just as equally haemorrhage runs.

Malinga fitness went down the pan a long time ago. These days he's good for nothing more than a little hit and giggle. Long gone are those brutal in swingers, time for him to head off to stud in the IPL.

"As this is Holder’s second slow-over-rate offence within the last 12 months, having previously been found guilty of a minor over-rate offence in the fifth ODI against South Africa in January, he also receives a one-match suspension for the next match in the same format of the game, meaning he is suspended from the second ODI, which is scheduled to take place on 4 November in Colombo."

Sri Lanka Team
MDKJ Perera†, TM Dilshan, HDRL Thirimanne, LD Chandimal, AD Mathews*, TAM Siriwardana, DSNFG Jayasuriya, SMSM Senanayake, BAW Mendis, SL Malinga, RAS Lakmal

West Indies Team
ADS Fletcher†, J Charles, J Blackwood, DM Bravo, MN Samuels*, JL Carter, JN Mohammed, CR Brathwaite, JE Taylor, SP Narine, R Rampaul

Russell injured, Holder banned, Ramdin dropped....

I still don't see what Fletcher and Charles have done to keep their places ahead of Ramdin.

Fletcher lives up to expectation...out for a duck.

No Ramdin...

Nice to see Rampaul back. I'll have a look at his waistline later.

Brainless shot by Blackwood...doesn't even try to get a look at Senanayake, but tries to hoik him first ball, and is out caught in the deep for nine.
Charles looks to have improved his batting...he's actually moving his feet to the spinner, now. He gets a well-deserved half-century. Lil Bravo throws away his wicket for 21...three down.
