Difficult to know how to punish.

Fines seem to be irrelevant and suspensions are just brushed off. I gather the Court of Human Rights frown upon executions so need to find a bit of middle ground.

calculate the percentage of play lost, and make the players refund that percentage of the entrance fee to everyone who paid to watch a full day's play.

Forcing Holder to miss the next Test might actually improve both the bowling and the batting....

The situation was compounded by bad light caused by heavy clouds, and advancing rain, which also resulted in a loss of half an hour this morning.
