Middlesex keeping their title aspirations alive with a 71 run victory over Durham, whilst the final days play at Hove is abandoned due to a sodden outfield and Yorkshire have to settle for a draw.
The gap between 1st and 2nd is now reduced to 30pts. Should Middlesex better Yorkshire's result in the next round of matches, it is very much game on at Lords on 9th-12th September.

Yorkshire announce their 12 man squad against Somerset tomorrow.
Bairstow (wicketkeeper), Ballance, Bresnan, Brooks, Finch, Fisher, Gale (captain), Lees, Lyth, Middlebrook, Patterson, Sidebottom.
Overlooked for the international quartet of Ballance, Bairstow, Finch and Lyth is Jack Leaning, 2nd club CC leading runscorer with 785 runs at an average of 46. Very harsh to have got dropped, but the question is who do you leave out?
