I guess Yorkshire will want to get on with it from here, and potentially bowl after tea. Though Gale tends to declare well after I expect him to.

Rain interfering with play at Edgbaston, to resume again at 3pm with 50.2 overs remaining. Surely Yorkshire will go on the attack to post enough a large total, whilst having enough overs to bowl Warwickshire out.

Suspect Notts will try and kick on in the last hour today, get a small lead. Not much point in bowling tonight in terms of the weather - skies are blue and looking set fair until about 7 I believe. Then see if they can knock over Middlesex in two sessions tomorrow and put some cats amongst the pigeons...

Sussex still batting at lunch with a lead of 402... declare man!!!

Nice to see Nasher carry some form over, and Matt Machan score another fine 192. Luke Wright has smashed 3 sixes in 6 balls.... nothing like watching Wrighty against tired bowlers batting for a declaration.

Warwickshire could have been 5 down before rain intervened, Westwood and Hain got put down on more than one occasion.

Luke Wright scored 40 off 12 balls earlier.... but yet again, why he was batting was crazy, as if Somerset were ever going to chase down over 400 in 60 overs....

Annoyingly, we have run through their top order now but only have a session to seal the match.... Someset need 340 off 30 overs....

Ed Joyce has to be the worst captain in the game

Looking where Sussex are in the league table and how Worcestershire are doing, I feel Ed Joyce has done right. 425 off 67 overs is probably just out of reach for Somerset to chase, but enough overs for Sussex to get 10 wickets if they make early in-roads.

Sam Hain gets his century, but later trapped LBW by Timmy Bresnan.

Moeen Ashraf has gone on trial with Hampshire

http://yorkshireccc.com/news/view/3920/ ... -hampshire

A shame that a player who has shown so much promise has fallen so far down the pecking order. I'm surprised Moin hasn't been utilised in the Twenty20 competition this season because he was an effective death bowler in 2012.
