Strange thing is that their top order looks formidable, arguably- on paper - the strongest on the circuit.

Id hazard a guess that their 8th wicket partnershp has outscored all the others this game.....!! :strop

A bit of a wobble- 4 down but just need 45 more runs. If they can't win from here they might as well give up!

They'll be very nervous now. Could end up being our former player Ben Raine hitting the winning runs.

It's either very good bowling and poor batting or there's something wrong with the pitch. Suspect it might be overcast conditions making the ball nip around but Notts will have been desperate for a win so could have prepared a result pitch.

Leicestershire certain to win now-6 wickets in hand and just 16 needed.

Well no one has registered a 100 in the match before all the top 6 are back in the hutch collectively. Seems the new ball on this pitch is a tough one to face.

That seems to be a trend in a lot of matches-frequently see a clatter of early wickets only for the lower order to get runs. There aren't many genuine tailenders these days.
Interesting game at Lords after Warwickshire have collapsed from 105-2 to 144-7, they lead by 226. A draw would be the ideal result for Durham and Sussex.

You'd have to be good to get a triple against this Leics team. If you can imagine such a thing.

Patience is wearing thin with this Sussex team at the moment. I think someone high up in the club needs to tell some guys that their contracts will be set on fire if they don't improve, because the batting line up has been utterly terrible, and at this stage apart there are two of three guys there that I would rather see an U-19 club player getting a chance over them, then them continually be terrible. 4 players in the top 4 that played this match are averaging under 20 all season, Harry Finch has been battered in previous matches, Wright slogged one lucky innings and has been useless since, and Brown often bats like he is in a T20 when wickets are falling around him.... no accountability at all.

What makes it worse is the fact we just added a test match bowler to an attack that is currently looking sh*t hot!!

(Yorkshire fans, look away now)....

If only we had Matt Prior, Shehzad, Mills and Joyce there.... :strop In fact, the fully fit Sussex team on paper, assuming Yorkshire players are always with England, should really win the county champsionship with ease!

Both Prior and Mills are about to retire through injury according to recent reports in the Cricket Paper. Sussex have been unfortunate in that they've had to play on 2 very challenging pitches in the last 2 games. Won one ,lost one so I don't suppose they can complain but it can't do much for their batsmen's confidence.
