Playing with the tail, threw a bit of bat at some balls by all accounts. I like the way that every match he comes in a position lower.... by September, he will be at number 11.....

I reckon if they bowl Essex for a lead under 200 they'll have a good chance.

They should do, just feel that, because they haven't won for so long , any run chase could be challenging. Hard to believe that a side could go well over 2 seasons without winning a 4 day game, even Durham were never that bad!

Strange thing is that their top order looks formidable, arguably- on paper - the strongest on the circuit.
