Mark Wood arrived at the ground this morning.

Can we read anything into that? I know they used to let players go home the day before if they weren't selected but not sure if that is still the case.

Some press is saying Wood is playing. Cricinfo says he's playing. My guess is that he won't though.

The speculation is that he'll come in for Jordan.

Maybe his catching will be missed as much as his bowling. Good batter too. I don't feel he's had a proper chance yet.

Plunkett has unfinished business too.

Probably been told the horse is bad for team ethics going forward.

It's the wrong brand of horse.

And there are issues of trust (it ate all the carrots and neighed in a team meeting while Steely was talking.

That the horse is causing sponsorship mixed messages with the zebra.

The horse has to go through a process of rehabilitation.

But the horse was told how to run by a bowling coach, and went back to Durham unable to walk without getting the yips.
