Pietersen 355*. When was the last time more runs were scored in a CC innings?

Might have been Lara's 501 in 1995? I forget who he scored them against.

Correct. By all accounts, I think it is the 7th best score in English FC history (5 have been better in county games, Hutton's test score in 38 was better)...

Not sure a 300 has been score in England in tests apart from this and Gooch's and Amla's Lords effort, which was lower, so 7th best professional score in England also.

I correct myself having looked..... John Eldrich scored 310 at Headingley in 1965..... Bradman scored his 334 at Headingley in 1930, and repeated the feat with 304 at the same ground in 1934.

Those are the only 300's in tests
