Atletico don't really get criticised for it like Chelsea but everyone recognises that they play defensive, dirty football.

Seeing Simone jumping up and clapping near the end when one of his players fouled Ronaldo pretty much sums up the philosophy of Athletico.

We should all just be thankful it was not a Chealski vs Athletico game.

Rightly or wrongly, Chelsea got criticised for playing negative Football against Utd, as they were at home, and are leading the table by a street. I didn't see that as a Jose masterclass, more of a game where Utd wasted their chances. I didn't see last night's game, but Atletico were playing against the current European champions, which is a different kettle of fish.

That was last year's semi when Chelsea couldn't have been any more anti-football. Started with 6 defenders!

As long as Madrid beat the negative Italians.

Can't call the Barca - Bayern game. Pep will obviously be up for it.

If Bayern are at full strength then it will be a close one but they must have Robben back. Few other key players (Ribery, Alaba, Schweinsteiger, Benatia) they'd like fit too.

Real Madrid and Barca for me.

Ribery has no chance, he is unable to run or kick balls at the moment, and we are talking less than two weeks to the game. Robben has tried to come back and re-injured himself a couple of times, and there is a concern that if he is rushed again he is in danger of a serious muscle damage that would end his season this year, and potentially next year, so not sure they will risk it. Alaba's season is acknowledged as over.

Benatia and Schweinsteiger maybe fit, and Martinez has just came back to fitness, but question marks how fit any of these players will be when Barcelona roll into town and make them chase shadows for 90 minutes.

A fully fit Bayern can beat Barcelona and well..... a Bayern without the names mentioned is no better than most teams they knocked out with ease already.

It seems Evra made the right move in going to Juventus...he's in a Champions League semi.

Tevez had a role in the goal that put Juve 1-0 up against Real Madrid...another player who's still flourishing since leaving England.
Nobody has a stance quite like the mighty Shivnarine....

Rafa know's what he's doing in Europe. I still think Madrid might win, over the two legs, but it will be tight.

So far Juve are the better team. Madrid have the bigger names, but Juve are playing so well, and seem to have belief. Can they keep the tempo up though.

Was a penalty though, no need to make the tackle.

And thankfully the ref booked Marcelo for the most blatant foul in the lead up.
