I think Trott will get another game.

I reckon Ali may come in for Jordan. I can't see any more changes being made. Of course Jordan may take a fifer yet.

A mixture of both would be good. Alistair Brearcott.

I'm not saying Jordan, or even Tredwell deserve to be dropped. Or that it isn't ridiculous to bring Trott back for one Test. But these changes would probably strengthen the side based on the likely conditions. I don't think Cook has much confidence in Stokes' bowling though, given the spells and fields he gives him.

Alastair Boyley might suit his clean chinned image a bit more?

Can't disagree with that, has Trott been rushed back into the thick of things too quickly?

I really would love to see Jordan's bowling progress because he could be a more than useful number 8 and his fielding can be electric at times, but I can't see it personally, run up and bowling action just has no rhythm to it.

Difficult with Jordan, because the coaches have been criticised with tinkering with natural methods. So do they leave Jordan as he is? He's a borderline decent selection anyway. Of course, some say Jordan is like he is now because of misguided interference.

Jordan would be fine as a fourth seamer, if we had a Freddie as the third seamer/number six. Stokes though isn't good enough with the ball. The Aussies would love to face:

Jimmy
Broad
Jordan
Stokes

Who have England found hardest to remove over the years - Chanderpaul or Dravid?

You can say the pitch is not helpful to pace bowling or spin but Taylor has swung the ball better than Jimmy and the WI pace bowlers have generally got more from the new ball than England.

Broad has bowled with good vigor and has been the best of them.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

I wonder if Jimmy is thinking too hard about the record.

He'll probably take more wickets once he gets it.
