Captain Cook get pen and paper and start your letter to whom it may concern
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Typical Cook dismissal.

Great ball to Bell first up.

Good pitch this. Plus the conditions.

Surely even England couldn't lose against this side? They're certainly threatening to.

250 lead should be enough. And they'll get more than that.

I reckon if England lose a Test in the series, and still win the series, Cook and Moores will go.

Since before the last home Ashes series, ie, his last ton, Cook averages 28.8. In ODI's he averages 27 in the same period and was dropped.

I reckon only Trott of his opening partners in that period averages less.

Cook's overall test record will rightly be considered if his place as a player is in jeopardy. He's never been a great ODI player.

27 is probably a better ODI average than 28 is a Test average.

Cook's overall Test career has been protecting him for over a year. That's why his partners have made way and he's still there. But surely only Devon Smith remains forever.
