yeah he is a worry atm

4 innings since that hundred at the start of the tri-series and he has faced 20 balls in total in the 4 innings for 2 runs

edit : in fact if you go back to the start of the away series to sri lanka this is the 9th time in 12 innings he has failed to reach double figures

ravi gone now for a predictable 11 from 25 balls

comment I liked on the cricinfo feed ;

"Root is showing exactly why bopara should be dropped, Root is not taking any risks and batting at a strike rate of 100 whereas bopara is just getting stuck"

for the amount of bowling bopara does it shouldn't even be an issue

Ballance is surely a viable option, especially with our bowlers performing. If Bops doesn't bowl, then you may as well leave him out.

where do you bat him tho ?

not that pushing morgan to #6 looks a big problem atm

a 3/4/5 of ballance/taylor/root looks a bit samey to me , especially with bell opening as well

too many dotballs M-S which is a recurring problem for him

look at root , closing in on a 50 at close to a run a ball with only 2 boundaries , bopara just seems unable to milk singles and 2s early in his innings

Bat him at six. Not ideal, I know. Better than Ravi at six, at present.

Rubbish from our batting line up today, just shows how important Bell is at the top of the order and Taylor at three. It's infuriating to see out batsmen repeatedly fail to rotate the strike.
