Bell will have to wait at least one more ODI to get his 5000 runs. Just 5 short now.

I did say England are a better side than India on bouncy tracks.

Still bemused why India are considered among WC favourites. A bit of pace and bounce and we've fallen like nine pins. The 3 wins above all came in a row against England on.dry pitches. Either side of that, we've been on a losing streak.

England's recent record in all forms of cricket in Australia is pretty poor, and they have failed to match Australia's scoring rates in recent ODI series away.

india are amongst the favourites as they are basically guaranteed to reach the last 8 and only need to win three games to win the tournament, and on their day are capable of chasing down any score

Had a nap after India were out and just woken up.

India getting their shock defeats out of the way before it matters. And got it wrong at the toss.

England 3-13 India.
I always say that everybody's right.

No one is fooled by this defeat. India had a bad day at the office and England just happened to be there to take advantage.

Thats not true at all, outside the subcontinent. You are getting carried away by the 350 scores we see regularly in Asia. Outside the subcontinent, I don't remember the last time we successfully chased even 280 against a decent seam attack. Theoretically, any side can win on "its day". Even the 8th ranked WI have Gayle.

who are you trying to convince that india are underdogs shanks ?

they are 3rd favourite with the bookies to win , and whilst bookies obviously don't always get it right they usually know what they are talking about

I don't see India doiny too much, as they rely heavily on Kohli, Dhoni and Sharma, plus have a weak attack. That said, once you get to the QF's, they may have other players finding form.

I agree that the format makes us a dangerous side but really, our recent performances outside the subcontinent don't back the hype up. This is a side with only 2 proven ODI batsmen outside Asia and a bowling that would embarass most Associate nations, unless it turns like it did in.the Champions Trophy.
