Football league 2014/15

The beautiful game!

Certain teams will come into their own by January..... if you put 4 or 5 wins together from anywhere in the top 10 you are top, and on current form, would probably build a 5 point lead. Anyone who puts a run of 10 solid games together will start to run away.

This is the stage of the year when squad size and quality of depth starts to bite, and I expect those teams lower down the expected spectrum will begin to fall in the coming two months. Teams like Cardiff/Norwich who came down have bigger squads with much more overall quality, I expect by Janaury one of these teams will surge forward and take the initiative.

Those weeks over Christmas will severely test the "good starting XI, bad back up" teams.... you cant put the first team out 4 games in 8 days!

Brentford deserve so much respect.

Bournemouth are getting alot of headlines ( and rightfully so ), but I'd argue the job done at Brentford is even more impressive.

Best team I've seen at Dean Court this season, we were fortunate to get the three points.

Not sure yet. Im only able to watch games on some pretty poor streaming. He has organised the club much better, and he has bought well in my opinion. We are a much stronger team than last year. But once Reid and Cohen got injured our midfield suddenly went to pot. The biggest problem I have seen is the midfield are not tracking the runners at all. Its so easy to sit back against Forest and then counter into space in front of the back 4. The guys just dont track the runners. Cohen is probably a bigger miss than Reid at present. Yesterday we looked better but the same problems were there, and im not sure we can blame Pearce for that. He has tried to counter it by putting Macienne in there, and even Harding, but its not worked. He has even put 5 into the midfield but that also did not work. 3-1 to Brentford. Probably does not help the Vaughan who would have been put in there when Cohen got injured is also out injured. Not sure why we got him with his injury record. Really good when fit, but whens he ever fit?

The only positive from the Midfield for me has been young Osbourne. Looks like the Natural replacement for Reid, but probably needed to learn his game under him this year. But he was our best player yesterday, another Forest youth looking the goods.

Also Forest look better when Ince is not playing. Sure he looks the goods with the ball, but he just adds to our prblems by not tracking back.

Were still not out of it, and Pearce should be given time. But Forest supporters dont give managers time, even club legends. And our owner can also be trigger happy.

So far the Club is much better off the field than last year under the poision dwarf, but on the pitch, no better.

Has not helped by backtracking on a lot of things. Claiming to be 100% behind Rosler after the 3-1 beating against Bolton, then to proclaim the manager deserved more time after events from last season even though he met the primary objective of a top six finish.

The reality is Wigan are in a huge period of transition since Roberto Martinez left the club and you're never going to achieve stability and continuity by chopping and changing managers.

Bradford securing a valuable 2-1 win away to Preston North End, who last lost at home in December 2013.

The rumor that Malkay McKay is favorite probably doesn't help matters.

Malky Mackay has been appointed as the new manager of Wigan.

I expect and HOPE for a backlash.
