45 mins to go! :scared

Unless the weather forecast is dodgier for tomorrow than the one on Breakfast TV for Friday, then a lead of 360 with 2 days for Glamorgan to get them doesn't seem enough - especially when Tommo can barely buy a wicket atm.

Apart from getting runs by batting on we are taking time out of the game & giving them less time to get them. Although I would have preferred the follow-on, I think we defo need to bat on for at least an hour but probably almost to lunch & then give them an uncomfortable 4 overs from bowlers who hopefully have not had to bat this morning!

Agree Century - target has to start with a 4. Not that I think they will get anywhere near it, but you just never know with the likes of Rudolph.....

BBJ - I thought at first you meant the first ball today had to be a boundary! Agree with what you say.

It'll be remembered for a long, long time if Hants declared overnight & Glamorgan requested the extra half-hour this evening to knock off the remaining runs as they were about 330-4 or 5 !!!

I think the original plan was to declare overnight, which would explain Jimmys late slogging and demise rather than safely assuring a ton.

Hants batting & moving along as quickly as one would expect first thing - almost 200-3.

Alsop bowled by Allenby after playing out 5 dots. I guess it was a wild swing on 6th.

As has been put by others a strange decision to bring Alsop in for 2 such vital matches. If a debut was thought a good idea with Carbs out gthen McManus would have made more sense or play Terry who must be pretty disappointed to be overlooked.
Alsop & Dawson have looked out of touch in most of their innings recently.

Wheater out! I know he was moving the score along but overall his stats this season can't be that impressive - yet amazingly his FC career average is approx 38 compared to 41 by Vince!

Worcs have just lost 2 quick wickets - Essex ought to wrap things up by tea now?

Vince gone for 48 - he'd had very little strike for a few overs & was prob trying to get his 50/move things along.

Lead currently 410, can't see the need to keep batting much longer, would like a good 30-45 mins at them before lunch.

Big over from Slug sees him go past 850 for the season.

This is now his 2nd best ever season, behind 2010.
