STUPID on so many levels, im going to hang myself if we f*ck this up.

Smith needs atleast 2 runs to guarantee an average of 50 for the season.

This goes back to my earlier point. If you want to win the raffle you have to buy a ticket. I can't believe Hampshire didn't put them in again. You might have skittled them out today, they wouldn't have fancied it, the Glammy lads and the thought of 2 days early holidays might have done the trick.

Worcs have already lost a wicket second time round & are still 300 behind. Prob won't be over today though.

In fairness to Adams/Benks, Hants are not hanging around & are 65-0 already.

Presumably Worcs have got so few points that a Hants win would mean the title?

A win would guarantee us the title yes. Is there an actual trophy for D2 or is it just promotion? Never thought about that.

Dawson in; hopefully he can get a few runs. Confidence must be low as he's been a walking wicket in recent weeks. Last year he was impressive - he just can't get going after his injury.

I'm not worried about the weather. Yet.

No need for us to bat beyond lunch, and if Vince and Ervine get a shift on we should even be able to get 20 mins or so at them before lunch. 450 lead is my target.

I have every confidence that we will win the title.

Sounds like I have might to throw my theory out of the window. In his interview, Wood says that he's not sure what we do exactly, but talks about either an hour of quick hitting tomorrow, or an overnight declaration.

We could EASILY get a lead of 450 within an hour.

Lead is 360 now, an hours play is 16 overs ( give or take ) a run a ball will take us to nearly 460, 5 an over takes us to 440.

Interestingly Vince has passed 1500 FC runs this season and is only 59 runs behind Lyth in the top run scorer stakes in FC cricket ( Lyth does have another innings to come though )

Vince is also top of runs scored in all comps combined this season.

Bat for an hour, 6/7 runs an over, everyone throwing the bat from ball one. Leave around 80 overs in the day to bowl them out and hopefully finish the game without the need for Friday.

That would be ideal, I personally don't think we need to bat on...but we will, also if we have them 7/8 down late on, we can ask for the extra 30mins just as the new ball is due.

90 runs in an hour is achieveable if we don't lose wickets. But two or three early wickets could soon put paid to that. September morning conditions. Fresher bowlers. Tight, accurate stuff from Allenby.

It's very different to being able to fling the bat everywhere in an evening session, when the opposing fielders are up against it in the match and just want the day to end.

Someone said to Matt Coles on twitter that he should be sent in next to score some quick runs, to which he replied with his recent form he should be at 11. Hard to disagree with him.

Can only remember the 1 decent innings from him, that was against Leicester. That said, hes done his share with the ball this year.
