Someone else has to stand up this innings, Vince needs to make some runs and Wheater is due a big knock. We still have Tommo to come in at number 11 and bat with whoever for a couple of hours so not quite screwed yet.

How painful was Adams innings!

Alsop gone for 1...said before the last game we should of picked Terry, bizarre selection.

53/5 Couldn't really be worse could it? Thought I was going to miss the last day of the season by going to a wedding on Friday but it seems not!

No guarantee he would have made any runs either. A real pressure cooker situation as in the previous game that only one or two seem capable of handling.

Wheater had suddenly decided he can't score runs anymore, got a sulk on?

Ervine has 18 off 12, incl. a 6, I'm scared.

Looks like they've got fed up with the way Adams and some of the others were approaching the innings and have decided to up the run rate. 200 may yet be a decent first innings total. After all its the win we need more that the bonus points now by the looks of the other game.

Obviously not a guarantee, but Terry has played some FC cricket and been in our List A team, giving someone a debut in the penultimate game of the season with everything to play for seems daft.

Alsop is clearly a bright prospect, but this wasn't the time to give him his chance, Terry or Gatting should of been ahead of him.

Hopefully they bat again today...get the pitch inspectors down, although I can't see Essex being penalised, they are favorites of the ECB.

Did you just say Gatting, i'd rather have his uncle Mike in his current excessive bellied state.

Will be interesting to see how Essex bat. Clearly a results pitch would have been prepared but how much of a results pitch is it. If Worcs are batting again today, then they would still be in with a sniff of victory.

I have a feeling Essex will be around 200/5 at the close. They have been in tremendous form of late and Leics and Worcs probably have little interest in a fight.
