They can still relegated, think a draw would put them 19 points ahead of Lancashire who they play in the last match.

Daily Telegraph; Gale moved himself in the field in an attempt to squeeze in one further over. He moved closer to Prince who is alleged to have told him to “f*** off back to cover point.” Gale responded by saying “Well you can f*** off back to your own country you Kolpak f*****.”

The case against Gale is likely to hinge in whether the word Kolpak is racist.

"Kolpak could be construed as racism in this case because Prince is black and was brought up in Apartheid South Africa. But Yorkshire will argue that it is not a reference to colour or ethnicity but simply a term of reference".

Surely telling someone to F off back to their own country is bad enough. how Yorkshire can possibly argue that he did no wrong by using the phrase Kolpak is beyond me. If he'd used something more racial à la Darren Lehmann (coincidence or not Gale started at Yorks when Lehmann was still there?) then that is worse obviously, but he's still guilty as they come if he said what is alleged.

What a blooming shower, the Notty's are. 3 matches ago they were challenging for the title, now they'll be lucky to not end up in 6th place. Talk about capitulation. Shameful really.

Say what you like about Siddle. He may not have the stellar season that perhaps he should have done, but since he left, Notts have gone down the toilet

Losing Andre Adams recently didn't help either but in the end their much vaunted batting line up failed to guts it out when under pressure.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

I'm ebullient to say the least, about Sussex beating Notts. We have done fairly well there over the years but it's still a good win.

If he said what is being suggested, he should really at least lose the Yorkshire captaincy. In most jobs it would lead to a sacking (unless you're jeremy Clarkson). Maybe there is a case for that. It is extremely damaging to the club to have this incident associated with them. Perhaps even more so be be seen to support the perpetrator. Yorkshire have overseas players. How can they have a captain who feel that way about them, on a practical as well as an ethical level?

Apparently a candidate for the disciplinary panel is a candidate for UKIP at the next election. Conflict of interest?

I've no doubt there'll be members of that same panel who will have a pro-European stance-will they also have a conflict of interest?

There's a suggestion on Twitter that Ashwell Prince didn't regard the language used by Gale as in any way racist. Haven't been able to find any quotes from the player so whether that is true or not remains to be seen.

I get the fact that Gale was trying to increase the distance in his retort to Prince's insult but he went a bit far, about 6000 miles too far. Yep agreed the Kolpak bit is minor in comparison to the rest of the insult.
