Max bowling points, but trail by 122 and still a wicket to take.

Annoying that Surrey collapsed like that - Worcs have picked up one, maybe two, more points than they looked like they were going to.

Promotion hopes are going to be over for Kent (maybe even tonight). Whether that helps or hinders us next week when we play them, who knows.

Essex need 22 to win. But will have to 'chase' them tomorrow.

Kent will move onto 156 points, 51 points behind us with only 48 left available.

Essex however will move onto 185 points, 22 points behind us (again with 48 left available). We will still have a strong advantage over them (effectively one whole win), but they'll be very much in the race. Especially if Worcs lose for the third time in a row.

Its in our hands, which is all I care about.

Missed out on the signings of both the Gidman brothers, hopefully we will sign another batsman and bowler..particularly if Balcs leaves

It is in our hands, yes. But no-one can control the weather. It could quite quickly be taken out of our hands over the next two weeks, due to no fault of our own.

I'm not going to be putting my faith in the British weather to give us eight remaining dry days of our season.

Essex play Worcester in the last week, with both of them obviously unable to win, that plays right back into our hands.

Agree Brendy. What's more losing 6 - 40ish could really put the jitters up Surrey if they have many to chase in the final innings.

Even if weather does play a part in the final two games we can concentrate on getting bonus points in the first innings without worrying about setting up results like Surrey and Essex will have to. Essex are still a whole win behind us and even if Surrey beat Worcs two half decent draws will still see us home, which we should be capable of against two sides who have nothing to play for.

Agree Budget, only losses will scupper us, Essex playing Worcs is the clincher, I think.

2 max points draws will be 26 points and that should guarantee atleast 2nd.

Worcester are effectively 5-5 in their second innings.

Moeen and Ali both gone.
