Forget declaring tonight. I was hoping, and still just about hold that hope, that we'll go out and smash 100 from 15 overs tomorrow morning.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

That doesn't seem to be their intent I guess looking at it.

Ok, now that Wheater has gone, I'm happy to change my stance and would be fine with us declaring overnight.

Well if we need, say, 75+ overs to bowl them out, then we're also need to going to score more runs - be they first innings runs or second innings runs. Leicester are hardly going to spend the day scoring at 1.5 per over. Better to try and smash those runs in the first innings then, whilst we had our eye in and Leicester were down in the dumps.

If we need only, say, 60 overs to bowl them out in, then batting for another 10 - 15 overs tomorrow morning wouldn't harm that in any way. We'd still have those 60 overs to do it. And it would allow us to win by an innings, rather than having to chase a little target.

Too many people get hung on with declaring early. You need runs as well. And scoreboard pressure helps to get wickets.

All irrelevant now though of course. With Wheater and Coles both gone, declaring overnight is the only logical option now. And a 190ish lead is still a decent lead. It's not just my ideal 280 lead.

I'd rather have as many overs as possible, and knock off whatever they set.

Wyatt came off injured towards the end of the day, and it is doubtful as to whether he'll be able to bat tomorrow. OK he's only their no.10, but every little helps I guess.

Well done Adams. Exciting day tomorrow. Still think it's a shame we didn't have a few overs at them tonight and maybe nipped a couple of the out when their heads were down - particularly when we had secured full batting points.
