Surely the most experienced opening partnership in the CC?
Both got 50's - I think that's Jimmy past 900 runs & his 8th semi-century this season.

definitely the most experienced, over 21k FC runs between them, I'm going to TRY and work out what they average as an opening pair later, will take hours though.

Hardly scratchy, his SR has been above 50 all innings.

Merely a light hearted quip, which seem to go unnoticed on this thread!

Cricket is a serious business! :)
I remember on the old BBC Cricket chat-line (which became a cyber abuse site before it was cancelled) there was a thread about sledging but almost every sledge was banned by the moderators (even though some were really funny such as one by Robin Smith) because of their content!

On their day both in CC & limited overs the Hampshire batting can look frighteningly strong!

Will Smith in next is 45 away from 1,000 runs this season, for the 1st time in his career. 24 runs away from being his most productive season too.

Anyone else notice that Worcs are clawing their way back into their match? They could end up with a 1st innings lead & then demolish the oppo second time round.

13 in an over by Adams! No slowing down before lunch or to edge his way to his first 100 (20th of career?) of the season. A captain's innings. :salute

Yes they have, thankfully lost a couple of quick wickets before lunch, so pretty much even stevens in that match although Worcs still have to bat last.

Looks like Kent will have a sizeable lead after their first innings comes to a close, so we need Glamorgan to bat well second time around.

We could end up with our top 4 all over 1000 runs by the end of the season?

200 partnership.

These 2 have never both scored a ton in the same innings when opening together ( happened once with Carbs at 3 )
