Nothing wrong with a watchful start in the Championship

Not in the CC as Crawley was a past master at a watchful start. However, Carbs seems to have had a few sessions in limited overs cricket as well this season!

What odds of him being in double figures after an hour?

He'll either get out soon, or hit half a dozen boundaries in next to no time.

Poor old Carberry he only knows two ways to bat all out attack or all out block. Its why he'll never cut it in the test arena and why England were right to cut him.

Very true - they've just been mentioning Carbs on Test Match Special & saying Robson has not proved himself better yet. Carbs has 4 off 38 with only 4 mins before 12:00 to get into double figures. A quick 6 perhaps?

Is it true Brentford tomorrow is virtually a sell-out? I was thinking of popping along early tomorrow morning to the ticket office to get my ticket.

Not quite right, he played a blinder against Gloucester and Worcs earlier this season ( tons in both ), but he has been more defensive in the last few years.

If you go to the afcb direct website there is a seating plan which shows what seats are still available. South stand where I go usually has a fair few left to sell on match day but I haven't checked recently to see how many are left.

I get mine sent through the post, but I believe you can buy tickets online and pick them up at the ground on match day.

Thanks BMB for the info.

Carbs has just scored a couple of fours & has 14 off about 50 but these 2 boundaries came after 12:00 so he must have had a Boycott-like single figures after an hour.

18 off the Stevens over, Runrate over 3, and Carbs SR over 50.

Nothing wrong with a watchful start.

18 (eighteen) in one over by Carbs! :dance

No nothing wrong with a watchful start - IF it leads to something significant. A lot of players dig themselves in but end up doing nothing with a solid start. Let's hope Carbs shows the England selectors what they are missing.

Carberry has switched from all out block to all out attack. Never the twain shall meet.

He should definitely stand a chance in the T20 and one day formats but not in the Test Arena. I would think if Robson fails then are one or two others ahead of him now.

Smith has 9 off 7 balls, I bet if he gets close to 100 balls, his SR will end up being around the 30mark.

How many more wins are you likely to need to ensure promotion?
