Yes, that was surprisingly encouraging from 171-7. Will be worth following this evening.

Delayed by rain, could mean our spinners have less time to make an impact :(.

Surprised the rain didn't come sooner tbh. It was sprinkling down at work for most of afternoon.

But I've not had a drop since getting home half an hour ago, so that's a god sign in terms of the game resuming at some point. But then again, we might not want it to start again depending on what sort of equation Leics are given.

Would be cut down to about 25 overs I'd guess if we got back on after that inspection. From what I can work out they'd still need 185 from 25 overs, not sure that's completely corrected but that's still about 7.5 an over.

8pm restart, 25 overs in Leicestershire innings. Target 186 to win.

Should be exciting, Leics probably slight favorites, but I will back us to win it.

Wood expensive again, and bowling wides :/

Tommo gets Robson. 146 needed off 20 overs now.

With this being a glorified T20, Abbott gone home and Tommo doing really well, MAYBE he could play at Finals Day.

Would be his first T20 match for 8 years . He'd also have the opportunity to double his T20 matches played :clap.

He might get in the squad. But if it's not Dawson and Shah who replace Abbott and Maxwell, then I'd very surprised.

That said, if Shah doesn't return for any reason, then Tommo is in with a right shout. But then again, after today, maybe Terry is too. If the weather stays away, he has a few more opportunities between now and Finals Day to back up his half century today.

Leics have caught up with the rate now...only Will Smith can save us.

Why do I seem to find myself saying this so many times both when we're batting and bowling :facepalm.

Really need 2-3 quick wickets in the next 2-3 overs or the game will be gone.

Probably should of bowled all 5 of Tommos overs whilst he was bowling cheaply too.

O'Brien scored a match winning one day 100 down on this ground for Northants a few years back. Need to get him soon.
