Brown did the same thing yesterday, we need some stronger seats.

Sunday will be Maxwells last game for us this season. Will Rimmington come back into the side or will we try and get a batsman or just leave it completely and bring in Gatting :scared.

Abbott confirmed this morning that he will be back for the t20 QF, so he'll re-take over from Maxwell in the one-day stuff until he leaves again for SA shortly afterwards (in place to Tommo). Carberry will replace Maxwell (based on our team vs Lancs).

Once Abbott goes back, I suspect Tommo or another bowler will become a permanent fixture in the one-day team. Abbott should then return to us again at the back end of August for some Championship matches.

It'll be very interesting who Abbott replaces in the t20 QF, assuming that Carberry is fit to play. Will Vince be bold enough to drop himself? Or will it maybe be drop Dawson, even though his spin has been good since he returned. Slug's recent form with the bat should be enough to see him keep his place.

Fairly surprised Maxwell isn't staying for the OD stuff to be honest, surely that's better practice than just going back to the Aussie training camp?

You might not be Wood's biggest supporter, but we're hardly going to drop someone who has played throughout the group stage for us (except for game one, when he was still injured). Plus it still leaves us in the same predicament of not having sufficient bowling options in the powerplay. Hardly ideal against Lumb and Hales.

And we've tried dropping Coles before. It didn't work. We would also badly miss his bowling outside of the powerplay.

Form, it should be Dawson (Adams could easily open in his place). In reality, it will probably be Dawson given he only played a small part in the group stage. Yes it would put a little more pressure on the top order not to get out early, but hey, we can only field XI players. And unfortunately Slug's bowling just isn't good enough to be a third seamer.

Finch was ordered back (by his state I think, not his country) straight after Yorkshire's final group game. At least we get Maxwell until the QFs (I know Yorkshire got knocked out in the end, but the point is still valid).

Wonder if we'll go for Maxwell as a full overseas next year or still feel the need for another bowler (maybe get one domestically?). Just gotta pray he doesn't break into the test squad over the winter otherwise he'll miss loads due to the ashes :(.

IPL at the start if the season. Aussie limited overs cricket during the Ashes. Possibly Champions League at the end of the season. So I very much doubt it.

And besides, unless we sign a decent county bowler, we'll be back to square one in terms of a weak bowling attack.

Anyone who will be coming out of their contract/suspected to be available that we know of yet :)? Maybe a couple more guys from Durham :clap?

Unchanged 12 man squad for tomorrow, which would suggest that Carberry has recovered.

According to the Durham guys on here, Will Gidman is out of contract this year, and could be looking to move, we should move heaven and earth to land him if true.
