As I said yesterday that annoying 10th wicket stand could prove crucial. Still a way to go yet, Coles still in 122 lead.

Do they have a batting coach? :dunno

Yes but unfortunately he's decided to retire from playing-rumoured to be returning to Durham next year as a player.

From what I've heard, hes unhappy at not getting the coaching job, can't see him returning.

We don't deserve him after the way we treated him. My comment was a mixture of wishful thinking and mischief -making.

We need to set at least an unlikely 150 but 200 was always going to be the preferred amount. Coles has hit his 3rd six but surprised he then let Tommo face a potential 4 deliveries after a single off the second ball. Still he's done what hardly anyone else could do apart from Carbs last night.

All out, 132 nowhere near enough.

The one positive is that our last 9 wickets went down for 75 runs, so the pitch must be offering considerable assistance today.

Essex quick out the blocks in their second innings.

It was one month ago we beat this side by 470 runs.

Took four overs, but I guess they'll keep going for a while now.

Starting to get interesting. Ryder will surely try to hit out in this situation.

Remember, last year they were chasing 143, and were 31-6 and won by 4 wickets.
