Quite happy about batting, the weather is fantastic down the road and has been all day. Surely Southampton must get some of it soon.

And in other news Surrey pass Glamorgans total for the loss of one wicket.

Daws probably failed a fitness test.

I guess I am the most tolerable of Gatting on here, scored 124 in 3 innings in the 2nds, so see how he goes.

There must be totally different weather if you live near the sea I think, it's been sunny all day here too. It must rain a lot more inland.

A half fit Dawson is better than a fully Gatting and that return in the seconds is no great shakes. I know I should give him a chance but i'm afraid I was hoping that we'd seen the back of him this season.

It's that Southampton micro climate thing again and the IOW factor. Don't understand it myself not being geographically or meteorologically able.

mark the hawk wrote:what an appalling performance , nothing seemed to go right from the start , right from when the umpire took half an hour to give Vince out , btw did anyone watching on Sky think it was out ?

everyone else gave their wickets away , I know it looks great when it comes off BUT how many more wickets are we going to lost this T20 with fugging reverse sweeps !!!!!!

agree that we should have kept Shah in the line up.

Still as someone mentioned earlier away quarter will be fine

to be honest I've had enough of T20 for this summer not the game but rubbish "entertainment" going on during the game , what was the point of the blooming drummers ? and as for Roary or whatever he's called know chucking tee shirts into hoards of screaming 10 year olds while thr game is going on .....................

when I was that age just watching Barry, Gordon and Trevor Jesty was enough to make me want to come back again and again

Perfectly put MTH. And as Century noted yesterday, our performances to date really don't justify our position in the table.
I've managed to witness Hampshire lose five out of the last five one day games I've been to - starting with our CB semi agains Gamorgan last year. I think I'm going to get banned........ :facepalm

Avenging their 10 wicket defeat in the opening week, but remember a few weeks ago, they were in a similar position against Glocs and gave themselves 2 full days to bowl them out and failed.

Decent start - what a contrast to yesterday.
However, so-called experts have been praising our one-day form this season presumably just based on our position in the table & a few stand-out performances such as Vince's run of good scores a few weeks ago.
Looks like Surrey may make CC2 a 3 horse race - strange that they didn't play more positively in the match against us.
Northants 8-3 - what a bad run atm.

I've had about 20 minutes of rain all day, not even too heavy.
