Not colluding, but KP is using it to keep his name on peoples lips, he could of easily made his point/statement and left it at that, instead of bickering

It could be that the Sun did it for publicity. But they didn't come out of it that well.

Still, it was good to know that the ECB spelt KP's name wrong! Though they corrected the mistake. Astonishing.

For once, Pietersen may have a point there. The ECB may have foreseen problems with a coach not averse to seeing Pietersen continuing to cause friction in the dressing room.

The way I saw it, Giles didn't get the coaching job because he wasn't up to it. We had a disaterous T20 championships where we finished below the Netherlands.

Not exactly a great CV.

Yes, that's probably much nearer the mark, but it gave Pietersen a pretext for keeping himself in the public eye. I wonder if he thought of it all by himself or with the help of his friend, Piers Morgan.

Bloody hell! That's a word I wouldn't use in a pub with my mates, never mind with work colleagues (in front of a microphone).

You used to be able to listen to the tms box during the lunch/tea breaks when they weren't aware during the early days of digital. Nothing much went on though.

It'll be interesting to see if they do sack Strauss.

I suspect they won't.

This at least puts in there place all of the politically correct BS that Strauss normally says when KP's name is mentioned. It's also not long ago that KP was claiming he and Strauss were pals again. It always amazes me how those caught saying such things immediately issue the profuse apologies as below:

I apologise unreservedly, particularly to Kevin Pietersen. I am mortified and profusely sorry," Strauss said.

That suggests he doesn't think he's c**** and can't understand how he came to say it.

Yes, it's a bit weird. I suppose you can feel something in a particular circumstance that isn't our normal response. And we've all criticised our friends behind their backs. Strange you would say this to people who probably aren't your close friends. And there is the possibility he was joking/ironic/etc.

Someone should tell Strauss that TV and radio sports mics are always live as other countries will televise the same sports event but not all of them will take a commercial break at the same time.

It is rather a pleasure to see Strauss discomforted in this way, so something good has come out of it.

Probably the most interesting point in Strauss commentary career. He has a right to hold such an opinion, but he should be sacked for airing it
