Red card for Antonio Valencia, 2 in 4 games for him now.

Right decision IMO.

Yep, most cleans sheets in Europe last season. Went about 12 games without letting in a goal for Lille. Also, Nigeria were the only team to have not conceded before today.

He saved a great free kick from Messi earlier in the game but this one was just too good from the genius. I think you're the only one saying he should have saved it, everyone else is going on about how Messi produced one of the goals of the tournament. Being a bit harsh i think.

Um who's everyone else? I love the generalization there. I think I have it taped so I best watch it again and then become "everyone"..............maybe. ;)

OK just watched it and Dan you have got to be kidding. :lmao

I love Messi and hope he scores a dozen goals in this world cup, but the goal keeper should have saved that and clearly thought it was missing.

I'm glad Ecuador and Honduras are going home, neither play football, just try and kick lumps out of you.

He almost runs past the ball, in fact I think he tried to score himself with a header so Messi would only have an assist. :lmaoagain

Unstoppable, absolutely ridiculous. Not to even mention how far out Messi is, any further back and it would have been beach soccer because he would have been on the Copacabana.

It was unstoppable, do you realise the purpose of the wall is to protect that side of the goal ? Once it is past the wall and the GK can see the ball he has about a second before its in the net, you could argue that the GK got the wall in the wrong position, but there was no way he could dive across and get that.

The Ecuador player just kicked the ball away, and the GK just stood with it at his feet and waited to be closed down before picking it up, its France who don't need to win that are trying too, its bizarre.

Do you have a recording of it SaintPowelly? Once you've watched it a few times you will see it was very stoppable. or a starter they could have moved the goal.
