He was half way across the goal and saw he was obviously never going to make it. No keeper would have saved that IMO, Messi couldn't have got it more in the top right corner.

It wasn't right in the top corner though, unless i'm going mad? It was the fact he never attempted to dive which made me think he thought it was going wide.

This is the only decent free kick I've seen in the tournament so far and boy, what a strike it was! Genius... The keeper had no hope, you're right. Probably just better off admiring the brilliance of the MessiAH!
