Benny Howell ( who is playing for the wrong side ), is trying to win this on his own. 39 off 14 so far.

45 off 20 needed.

Hants are theatening to drag defeat from the jaws of victory - Smith has hit the first 3 balls of Abbott's final over for 3 boundaries.

If Wood & Abbott go for 10 an over then 180 is unlikely to be a winning total.

Cripes, a bit of re run of the game last week, thankfully we cam out on top this time.

Abbott had a bit of a mare by the looks of it.

1 run defeat last time, 2 run win tonight...lucky for us that Gloucester are stupid and bat Howell so low.

We seem to be a lot weaker since Vince took over.

We don't seem to be getting the middle overs right in our innings and the bowlers are certainly going for a few too many runs. Maxwell is getting starts and then getting out which i guess is part and parcel of this format. He must be due a 30 ball 85 sooner rather than later. With this line up we should qualify comfortably from here.

Yes, no-one can quite replace Macca at the moment. The SRs for Ervine, Shah, and Wheater of their first 10 - 15 balls faced each innings surely have to be below 100. And bar a couple of decent Shah innings, they've pretty much all either then got out, or continued on at such a low-ish SR.

Consequently today we yet again fell short of 200, when we really should have got there.

Thankfully it didn't cost us today. But it did last week, and it no doubt will again unless we get it right. Promoting Coles up the order surely has to be a consideration. Today for example I'd have liked to have seen him immediately follow Maxwell, to hopefully keep Maxwell's hitting going.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.
