Such a miserable comment, it really is. What the hell do you want from England? They play well and still get slagged off.

Suarez will be back as well. I know he isn't 100%, but he'll improve any team, add to that, he's not your Gary Linekar type who relies on service.

Because I don't buy into this BS that England played well, it was an AWFUL Italy side, that hadn't won an international in god knows how long.

Leaving 4 players on the half-way line when Italy scored their 2nd goal isn't "playing well", Sterling tracked back once in the whole game and picked up a yellow for it.

Then whilst chasing the game, he sends on Jack Wilshere and leaves Rickie Lambert ( the only guy on the bench capable of changing the game ) on the bench.

I thought England had a moment in that first game for a good 20 minutes where there were brilliant. Unfortunately temperatures played a part and a little more luck with the finishing would have seen perhaps a different score. Yes Italy had to play in the same conditions, but the Italian weather is tbh a tad warmer than the English. ;)

Anyone know what the weather will be like today?

It's going to be a tough match for both teams and I expect a nasty one too. I hate making predictions but I am going for a 5-5 draw.

I'm thinking a draw or English win, really can't see Uruguay winning it. A winner takes all clash with Costa Rica would be fun.

I thought England on the attack was impressive although Rooney could have done better with a great opportunity he missed from about 12 yards out. The problem was England' defence on the left side was open an wound which Italy could exploit at will. I hope Hodgson has a plan to close that loophole tonight or I fear the worst.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Closing that loophole would begin with not playing Rooney on the left. I just don't get, I'm sure many others have said the same but you have two years to prepare for a World Cup and then days before it starts you stick the guy who's been playing centrally out left. Either play him in the centre or drop him, it really is that simple.

Aah, but will Uruguay sense another weakness, and exploit that? I personally think Suarez will give us problems by coming deep, and therefore take a defender with him. leaving space in the middle of defense.

Suarez hasn't played since having surgery, and if he was capable of even 20 minutes he would have been on the pitch against Costa Rica..... Im not sure he will be himself if he starts tonight, or whether or not he is capable of even starting.

Just look at Diego Costa's Champions League Final appearance?

Uruguay are also losing a defender, have one player suspended, and their midfield looked incredibly poor last time out.

Thanks Aidan, although I'm not sure if your joking or not. Having said that we had 6 inches of snow here in Utah the other day so anythings possible.

If it was only 1 defender, it wouldn't be a problem, you will find 2-3 men on him, like B&H did to Messi the other night, so whether hes fit or not, he will probably play just to draw players too him.
