When I seen it was Vincent in a game for Sussex, I assumed it would be the Middlesex game after the Surrey one. I remember watching that thinking "what the hell are you doing".... both teams scored heavily on a dead pitch, but Vincent went along batting at just over test pace, and seemed content not to accelerate while everyone around him was trying to smash the cover off it.
