Hampshire seem to really rate the Kent batting very highly by not declaring yet. Or is it they think they're the pits. Wil Smith is proving a fine acquisition.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Great time to be a Hants supporter! There have many years of grief in the CC in recent years (prob since Warne?) so a record FC win must be possible but probably won't happen if Foster & Co get stuck in.

Seems like Vince and Smith have changed the complexion of this game and as a result the Essex batsmen may well believe they can bat for five sessions.
