What is it with opponents winning the toss at the Rose Bowl and electing to bowl first?!

And Essex in particular have a spinner in Monty who might have been a handful to deal with on day four, had Essex been batting first.

Is it that misleading green wicket again although overcast and windy may have been a factor.

A few years ago, I could have totally understood opponents being caught out by a green looking wicket here. It often looks green, giving that false impression.

But teams should have learnt by now. It just smacks of failing to do your homework these days.

Mitchell out for 26, and Worcs are in a little bit of trouble at 44-3. Not the deepest batting line-up in the world.

Four of his six boundaries were streaky boundaries off Ryder/Mills. I never got the impression that he was too comfortable.

The curious case of Adam Wheater continues, scores at a high SR in the LVCC and is notably slower in T20s
