The only problem with Smith keep scoring runs at the top of the order, is what do we do with Dawson ??

I like Smith at 3, do we slot Daws in at 5 ? Can't really move Vince from 4.

100 partnership, run rates at 3.20..needs to be 3.6 for max batting points, not an issue with Vince and Maxwell to come.

You were worried about the follow-on earlier, so we are in a good position to avoid that.

if we can get 15-20 overs of Maxwell and Vince though, it should be fun.

Can't see anyone having 20 overs fun at Ajmal's expense. Follow on score still a long way off IMO.

I'm blooming worried about Ajmal skittling us out this afternoon and Worcs enforcing it and then we've had it. Due some rain this afternoon with a bit of luck.

Still got all day tomorrow to get maximum batting points if everything goes ultra positively from this point on. I'm thinking a bit negative right now and looking at the possibility that Mr Ajmal may cause some havoc this afternoon. If the latter does happen then a bit of rain may help our chances of saving the game.

Rain would probably juice the pitch up and help Ajmal.

Vince is in the form of his life, Maxwells a quality player, Bates is in good nick...no need to panic yet, and playing Ajmal is good experience for these guys. Vince and Bates should learn alot from it, and Maxwells trying to get in the Aussie test side

I don't think rain will have much effect on the wicket as it will be covered in seconds.

Don't know what type of wicket Ajmal prefers, by all accounts it doesn't seem to matter. Dry like in the UAE seemed to suit him against England, and damp in England where he bowls a bit quicker can turn him into a Derek Underwood type bowler.

With Dimi Mascarenhas taking over the Otago Volts, I wonder what chances are we will get 1 of their players as an overseas next year.
