Gatting replaces Taylor. No surprises to see young Brad dropped.

Middlesex win the toss and will bowl.

No doubt with the small boundaries, it will be hard to judge what is a good score. 170 or 220? So rather than make the decision, Midlesex have passed the buck to us. Fair enough, but given their poor batting so far this competition, it could come back to haunt them if we get going.

They played here on Friday and scored 120 and nearly defended it.

No match has ever been played on this pitch before.

Friday's game was at Gloucester.

Maxwell made a third ball duck today. His form is just dipping slightly.

Yes, it is. Indeed, according to Solent, they've left the boundary ropes out ahead of that Championship match. So as far as outground's go, there is a reasonable outfield for a t20 game.

Vince takes Finn for 16, after 3 off Raynors over.

19-0 off 2.

Vince's batting against Finn here might just make the England selectors perk up. It's not like Finn is your average county bowler.

Good to see Gatting in the side, but feel sorry for Taylor, hope it doesn't affect him.

Apparently we've won our last six away t20 games vs Middlesex, played across three different outgrounds. This is now outground no.4.

I'm listening to Radio London, you can hear Kevan James commentating in the background...so annoying.

I think these four overs are enough to know that this is your typical outground type par score.

I think Shah might need to score a little faster than 17 off 22 this time...

They recon the game will be won and lost in the powerplay.

45/0 off 4 is a great start.

Sky did a piece of Middlsex's powerplay's last weekend. In the past five years, they have (from memory) scored the second highest amount of runs in PP overs out of all 18 counties, but conceded the most amount of runs.
