Same 13 man squad for tomorrow. Only decision is whether to bring Bates or Gatting in for Taylor. Extra batter, extra bowler, or a better gloveman?

Although it would surely never happen, it's quite scary to thing that we could feasibly finish the t20 group campaign with the following XI:

Carberry
Vince
Shah
Maxwell
Coles
Ervine
Wheater
Dawson
Smith
Abbott
Briggs

That is some serious, serious batting depth - whilst still retaining seven 'real' bowling options.

But in all honestly, whilst I can completely see us dropping Adams when we get up to full strength, I can't see Wood being dropped (and fair enough - we would be slightly light on seamers). Plus, I doubt Smith will pick up 2-21 every week, so picking him for his bowling as much as for his batting could be a risk.

There is also the fact that we might not extend Shah's contract beyond tomorrow and Friday. I think much of it will depend on whether Carberry is retained by England (as the current ODI squad is only for the first three matches). Maxwell will be available after Friday, but Dawson will still be missing. So if we're without Carberry and Dawson after Friday, then for me we keep hold of Shah and simply slot Maxwell in for Taylor (based on yesterday's XI).

I hope they both go down, they have brought shame on Sussex, they should never play cricket again.

If it is ever revealed a Hants player is involved, it would devastate me

Middlesex's 13 man squad for tomorrow:

Dan Christian (captain)
Joe Denly
Neil Dexter
Steven Finn
James Harris
Dawid Malan
Ravi Patel
Harry Podmore
Ollie Rayner
Sam Robson
Adam Rossington
John Simpson
Paul Stirling

Realisitcally, Middlesex's campaign is probably over already if they lose tomorrow. Hard to see them coming back from four defeats from four games.

I'd have guessed Podmore (never actually heard of him) and Robson. I don't think Robson (like Rogers) generally gets a look into Middlesex's t20 side.

But then again, their batting has been shocking so far in the competition.

Rossington can hit a ball though. More so than Simpson, if they only wanted to play one keeper.

After their poor performance last night, you'd think Robson at the top to play an anchor role would be useful.

It should never be a surprise when Michael Carberry drops a catch. For all his worth as a batsman and for all his fitness, he has never been a reliable catcher.

I read that the other night, basically he dropped a dolly in the Ashes and that will be referenced at EVERY opportunity.

Whilst hes not as good as Dawson, I'd certainly call him reliable.

Carberry starts, and rightly so (as he was selected in the initial squad, whereas Hales wasn't). However I can't see him getting many more chances, so he really needs to put a marker down asap if he's going to have any sort of international career going forward.

Leicester are 34/5...maybe our performance last week was more about them than us.
