Weather forecast looks set fair for tomorrow, the odd spot of rain may creep in during today's play with a heavy shower or two due around 5pm. Hopefully we won't lose too many overs in the remainder of the game.

Adams gone. 21-1. Let's hope we don't do a Kent!

Serious question, do you actually want to see Gatting fail ?

Its one of those yes and nos.

Yes to get him out the starting eleven and no so that we stand a better chance of winning the game.

What about you?

Hes flown out the blocks in this innings!

What I would really like is for him to get a big score in this innings and prove all of us wrong, especially me who's had a downer on him since he signed.

He is clearly struggling, but doesn't help when there are constant calls for him to be dropped. as I type he hits a 4 to get off the mark.

Some time in the 2nds to find some form would probably benefit him, someone obviously has faith in his ability, and we haven't got many selection issues wrong in the last few years.

Thats kinda the point im making, there has been a downer on him since day 1, and don't get me wrong I wasn't ecstatic.

But if Vince had of started the season in the same form as Gatting, would we be calling for him to be dropped ? or have faith he can turn it around ?

He was given out caught after being hit on the wrist in the first innings, when your luck is down, its down.

Adams scored only in boundaries

Smith has scored 32 of his 34 in boundaries

Gatting has scored 8 of his 10 in boundaries.

I'm guessing its slightly tricky to bat on.

I question whether he has the ability at first class level, didn't see too much of it when he was at Sussex.

Benkenstein clearly rates but wouldn't want him to continue his run in the side on that basis alone if he wasn't scoring runs.

If conditions are tricky out there then there will be a fair number of wicket balls flying about. So good to keep up a healthy strike rate. If we can get a 300 lead it will be tough for Leics to chase down with Tomlinson and Abbot firing on all cylinders.

Bit of confusion over our score at lunch, Vince has gone from 13* to 11*, but definitely our session.

I would like to bowl tonight, score 200 more, set 325 and get a few overs from Kyle and Tommo today.
