Don't think so, Durham were after Mitchell Marsh but he was ineligible due to not having played enough internationals. I can't remember the exact requirements but it's something like at least one test or 15 ODI/T20s in the last 2 years.
There are other ways to qualify but they apply to older players, something to do with having a work permit for county cricket on or before a certain date ( 2008 or 2009?) It's all a bit confusing .

Not necessarily,it may be the same wicket they played us on a few weeks back, that had something in it if you bowled well, especially with a new(ish) ball, Abbott and Tommo took 5 wickets in 31 balls on the 2nd morning that day.

Sounds like you're right, the reports I've read make no mention if the pitch so it must have been good bowling/bad batting.
