Yes, and in testing conditions too. It has to be said though that Durham didn't take advantage of the bowling conditions they must have been very surprised to have had presented to them when Yorkshire won the toss.

Ah, the old chestnut that clouds determine how a cricket ball behaves ;)

Touché! (almost) :fight

More seam than swing yesterday, though. I can see how the solid surface on which the ball lands having more influence on what the ball does than something very insubstantial floating thousands of feet above it.

Is it something to do with air pressure maybe? Anyway it's a good game at the moment I'm watching on tv, nice to see JB back he seems to be batting very well.

Well played Michael Yardy, a fine innings. If only two Sussex players could fire in the same innings, we'd be unbeatable.

Andrew Gale bringing up another century for Yorkshire, did lead a charmed life but a good knock noneoftheless.

I missed the JB LBW, was it a bad decision?

Yorkshire run rate is a little disappointing, under 3.5 an over.

Can't understand why we're fannying about so much against Stoneman.

Yorkshire batsmen not good against spin, also what cameras can't pick is the flight of the ball.

No, he's making Andrew Gale look like David Warner.

There is no spin. Colville has just described Stoneman as a "lobby off-spinner". He's right about the lobby bit. There'll be nothing unusual about the flight of the ball - laws of physics and aerodynamics and all that.
