What a difference the sun being out makes, runs being scored all round the counties today.

If Hampshire win by 1 run, then we have Joe Gatting to thank

I still can't work out why we signed him, when we have Sean Terry and Michael Roberts in reserve.

I thought Joe was released to probably end up in league cricket. I never thought another county would sign him up. Still I hope he does well for Hampshire, at least he stayed on the coast.

Didn't he have an impressive start to his Sussex career? I'm sure he was-briefly-quite a prolific scorer.

He's had a couple of good patches in his career, but hasn't pushed on to show any form of consistancy.

In 2009 and 2011 he had very good years, but between his good moments lies depths that few county cricketers go...

Inhis last 19 county championship games he has only 2 x 50... and in 2010 he made a best score just passed 30 in 8 games.

Really poor player imo

Sounds a bit ominous, hopefully he can regain some confidence.

As a lower order one day player he has something about him because he doesn't hang around, he hits or gets out. And at times his late order hitting has done us a service....

I seem to remember him doing well against Durham, must have been right near the start of his career.
