Sussex 209/8 are falling into Bell's cunning trap.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Spectacular collapse from Sussex.... can take a near 150 lead into tomorrow, but should have ended this game in the final session, not blasted it open

Good effort from Adil Rashid in a so-so day for Yorks.

I think you have much to celebrate, SP

You destroyed Middlesex by running through them for 105, and now you have demolished the CC favourites, with their strongest batting line up playing, for 87!

Prior won you the game with a ton 25 and now Joyce has put you in the driving seat with a ton 17 on a day where 20 wickets fell.

If you can blow teams away with the ball, and then find one batsmen to stand up and be counted, you'll win many more matches than you'll lose.

Obviously you'd rather be 200 plus for 5, but it is April, after all.

Good signs for the season........ be happy!

342-5 at stumps and put into bat is a very good day for Yorkshire, anything above 400 will do for me.

Just caught up with some scorecards... Shiv showing his worth again. Sussex impressive too. Ian Bell's had a bit of a mare.

I have no idea why he was made captain, woulda thought Rikki Clarke or Chopra would of been a much better option.

Sussex have the perfect attack for early April, but in July we might struggle to take 10. I wish Magoffin could give lessons on bowling to youngsters, he is one of the best bowlers to tailenders I have seen. No England style clever setups, just bowls at the stumps every ball

186th score of 50 or more. Poor wording on my part! Exceptional record.

Double wicket maiden for Abbott, current has figures of 4/67 with 1 wicket left to take.

Really think he will be a great signing.

What a start by Hampshire! It's a lovely day here in Portsmouth, Hants could post a big score.

I am so pleased by Sussex's start, but I have a feeling Warks will do considerably better second time around.
