A bad day for Middlesex just got worse if this is true
@stevehollis75: If losing to @SussexCCC by a huge margin wasn't enough @Middlesex_CCC have had 2 pts deducted for a slow over rate too. Ouch!

Think they only gained 1 pt in this match which would make them minus 1.

The omens are good though. We started last season on negative points.

Monty will be a big miss, for you, although he might still have been a miss even if he hadn't hopped over to Essex.

TBH, his absence is the biggest reason why I think you'll be somewhere near the middle/lower middle part of the table alongside durham, this year. Having Prior with a point to prove was a bid bonus, but yesterday's innings might well be all he gives you, now he's made his point to the selectors (and that will have secured his England place, imo. I think that's all he ever had to do to get it back).

I think even if Prior hit an average of 30 runs per innings England would have took him back. The alternatives aren't bashing in the door, are they!

I would have preferred us to have loaned Monty out pending a bit more time away from the game and some moments to take stock.

That's a done deal isn't it? 50 needed, none down. They might not need Muzza.

Jonny Bairstow is a possible injury doubt for Yorkshire's opening CC game against Somerset-injured his finger diving to try & stop a leg-side delivery from a Liam Plunkett in the 3 day friendly v Northants.

Great win. Who needs Graeme Smith when you've got Will Bragg? Tremlett when you've got Michael Hogan? Meaker when you've got Wagg? :D
