Good effort by Slug, last man out for 93, all out for 263

Well played to Balcs too for a useful 23..now need 9 wickets for bonus points.

So what have we learnt after 3 days?
Dodgy weather at this time of year.
Adams can score runs & move the score along faster if he wishes.
Slug can bat well with the tail and can hit big boundaries even in CC.
Our bowlers will find it difficult to get 20 wickets in a match.

All of which we knew already! :)

Abbott was always going to come into this side for our next game, so today was probably Gatting's one chance to prove himself.

Having failed, he'll presumably make way and will now have to sit on the sidelines and wait for injury or loss of form for someone else to allow him back in.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

Really hoping that Abbott will make a big difference to our bowling attack because we've had similar expectations in the past which haven't been met. Still early doors although over a ton for one on an early season wicket is a worry.

BMB - it's still the footie season really. What a great win by B'mth tonight - 2 wins in a row against ex-Premiership clubs. 5 consecutive wins; 5 years ago we were trying to avoid leaving the league & now we are on the fringe of the Premiership play-off positions!!!

It's mirroring our finish to last season, 8 or 9 wins on the bounce to get in the automatic promotion places. Its all about momentum at this time of the season and we are the form team in the division. Its no coincidence that the upturn in form has come again when the weather has improved and the pitches suit our style of playing the game on the deck. Kermorgant and Camp have been key signings aswell.

Anyway nothing to lose, if we make the playoffs great, if we don't we're in the Championship again next season which was always our primary goal. Everything else is a bonus.

2 quick wickets for Dawson, gives us our 1st bowling point, 6 more wickets needed.

That Dawson over just before lunch was much needed as Ali and Mitchell were flying. Still up that point pretty dire stuff.

Two bowling bonus points is not what we hoped for, match will now peter out into a draw. Hope Carberry makes some runs in the next game.
