For pity's sake secure your blasted promotion, will you. You've been in the wrong div for too blooming long

are you playing tomorrow?

Yep, home to Worcester, who I believe are without captain Daryl Mitchell ( seeing as how he played in the NZ domestic cup final last night )

EDIT : He is named in a 12 man squad though.

Looks like a strong batting lineup.

If it was Robin and Mike at 5 and 6 I would tend to agree!

Glad we have vince at 4 and slug at 9, seems more natural for both than 5and6, think we made the right choice playing Gatt ahead of Brathwaite, got 3 frontline seamers + slug and Vince

Doesn't surprise me that we've gone with Gatting rather than Brathwaite. The game has already been shortened due to rain, and seemingly will be shortened even further tomorrow with more rain. So the only way to get a positive is through skittling Worcs out cheaply (at least once) or through the captains getting together (unlikely at this stage of the season). And neither of those two require a deep bowling attack.

Any "skittling" is likely to be done by Worcs by the look of it. Welcome to a new county cricket season with Hants 0-1 on a grey dismal day. At least the lads had their usual Caribbean jolly :) !

Perhaps one year we'll have a good start - at least Bournemouth are on fire & beat Harry Redknapp on his return after 22 years for his first competitive game at Dean Court!

Remember that but I don't think we won the game. Didn't we get the opposition nine down in their second innings then ran out of time?

Seven wins out the last nine, beat Reading on Tuesday and who knows.

5 down on the 3rd evening, then no play on day 4, Eckersley got stuck on 99*

My memory isn't what it was but remember it was extremely annoying. Pretty sure we picked up 24 points in the second game but again im probably wrong!

Yep, we demolished Worcestershire by an innings, Adams scored an unbeaten 200, then all the bowlers chipped in.
