My Italian friend who ALWAYS mocks the EPL is a little quiet this morning. One team in the last 16 for the Italians.

Ashley Young must be sold

But how much would they get for him. What did he cost united?

From memory 16 or 17 and they would probably get 5 or 6?

Yeah, not great, basically a write off for them.

But then Nani, Valencia, Cleverly, Wellbeck, Evra ect would not generate much money either.

Yep I reckon about 10-12 for the first three with Evra probably only getting about 3-5 due to age.

Well Man United need the Glazier's to put their hands in their pockets. At current I reckon they could clear out 5-10 players, but Moyes needs money to invest in alternatives. They have operated on too small a budget compared to everyone else for too long, and they are showing massive signs of decline.

Manchester City v Barcelona
Olympiakos v Manchester United
AC Milan v Atletico Madrid
Bayer Leverkusen v Paris St-Germain
Galatasaray v Chelsea
Schalke v Real Madrid
Zenit St Petersburg v Dortmund
Arsenal v Bayern Munich

Arsenal look to have the toughest game. Fancy City may beat Barcelona, although Messi will be back. Utd and Chelsea to sneak through.

God only knows what Demichellis was thinking, you have to think Messi has beat you and let the keeper take the chance of saving.... to bring him down, give him a penalty, then get sent off killed the tie.

At 0-0 Man City were giving as much as they got, and hit Barcelona on the break a few times....

Pellegrini's moaning about the ref, but to be fair, it did look like penalty at first, and even so, Demichelis had to go, being the last man.

Arsenal starting really well, and had to convert that penalty.

They will rue that, with out a doubt

Gunners down to 10 men, and another English team down to 10 men. Fair enough, but Boetang should have been off for 2 yellows before this.

2 missed penalties, thought these Germans were good at penalties

Started so well, Neuer made a good save from Sanogo before the pen too. Terrible by Ozil :facepalm as my dad said "ozil started well, missed the pen, then shrunk like a d*ck in an ice bath." No complaints about Chesney's red, but Boateng should surely have had one too. Tie all but over now.

Call me mad, but I reckon city might sneak it. It was pretty even till the sending off, and barca are a little shaky at the back, if attacked.
