Apparently he's a bookie who may not associate with the BCCI for 5 years. I thought gambling was illegal in India so why is he allowed any association with the BBCI at all.

He played 4 years in IPL, so he had some links to cricket, and was only released this year.... the judgement means his career is effectively killed for the future.

He was and probably is but we won't get to witness that again. His seam position was compared with Dennis Lillee by Greg Chappell, I think. On his day, he could swing it late and at pace. Never fulfilled it though except for a couple of Tests in SA and one vs SL at home. Such a waste... :no

He could get on a roll, and was very dangerous at times. But not that reliable. Not that likable. Remember the spell in 07 against England when he bowled a beamer and a huge deliberate no ball?

Amir to have his ban reviewed by the ICC. Can't imagine they would review it if they're not going to overturn it.

"Three former New Zealand players, including Lou Vincent, are being investigated by the ICC's anti-corruption and security unit. The news, first reported by New Zealand Herald, was confirmed by the ICC and New Zealand Cricket - without mentioning names - before Vincent acknowledged he was one of the three under investigation. Chris Cairns, whose name figured in media reports on the issue, released a statement on Thursday saying he had not been contacted by the ICC or NZC in regard to any investigation of alleged fixing."
